Spalletti calls Torino midfielder as Italy’s Euro 2024 squad announcement dates set

Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci will be included in Italy’s preliminary Euro 2024 squad on Thursday and Luciano Spalletti will name his final 26-man squad list by June 7.

Torino midfielder Ricci will be included in Spalletti’s preliminary Italy squad for Euro 2024, along with his teammates Alessandro Buongiorno and Raoul Bellanova, reports Tuttosport.

Spalletti will announce the Azzurri’s preliminary squad this Thursday, May 23, 2024, while the definitive 26-man squad list for the tournament in Germany must be announced by June 7.

Spalletti said last week that 70-80% of the Italy squad has already been decided and according to reports in Italy, eight players will be fighting for the last three spots available.

Italy will play two international friendlies before leaving for Germany.

They’ll face Turkey on June 4 at the Stadio Dall’Ara in Bologna and five days later, on June 9, they’ll host Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Stadio Castellani in Empoli.

A recent report from LaLazioSiamoNoi claimed that Lazio stars Ciro Immobile and Mattia Zaccagni will also be included in Italy’s preliminary squad.
